LeTricia Wilbanks currently runs a thriving design practice with clients spanning the greater Houston metroplex, East Texas, and Louisiana. When asked, many of her clients say that her best skill is “listening”, and transforming those thoughts into a beautiful reality. Her no nonsense approach to design results in uncluttered and timeless homes and businesses that keep her clients returning again and again. She is currently taking new clients and would love to schedule a chat.
From 2008 to 2011, Wilbanks collaborated while at Dalek Interiors on hotel projects in Texas, San Jose, CA and Sacramento, CA. She also worked on multi- family dwellings, numerous residential projects, and a hill country parade home that won awards for best interior design, best kitchen, and best family room design.
While still in college, Wilbanks was noticed early on by the University and the Head of the design department and received the “Excellence in Design” award, which was given to one outstanding design student per year. She was hired as a student by the university to facilitate the remodel of one of the campus buildings as well as completed private projects for one of the University Department heads, an honor never before given to a design student. In addition, two of the award winning projects she designed while in school where built to completion. Wilbanks has Bachelor's Degrees in Interior Design, and Business, with a minor in Art.
Before graduating with her design degree, she worked as the accessories buyer and store decorator for a Haverty's furniture chain, was a marketing rep for a local Fox affiliate, and was quickly picked up upon graduation by a local architectural firm where she worked as draftsman and designer before putting her career on hold for a decade to raise her children.
Before re-entering the design workforce, Wilbanks worked intermittently in the Houston modeling industry while raising her children. That experience, although not lucrative, gave her an understanding of how fashion and interior design can work hand in hand and how one influences and inspires the other. Classic fashion sensibility and love of clean lines, proper draping and fit, beautiful fabric, and texture influence her love of a clean, contemporary, masculine pallet, that is timeless, peaceful and never dated. She has an affinity for Neoclassical, Old Hollywood styles, mixed with art deco. This design aesthetic lends itself to a clean lined traditional look that translates well into a soft contemporary finished product that is modern, but still warm; A Style that feels Couture and Fresh.
